California State University Fullerton, home to over 40,000 students and the largest art department in the CSU system, tasked a group of students with designing the 2024 Commencement Certificate for the College of the Arts. Representing over 10,000 graduating students across the sub-colleges of visual arts, music, theater, and dance, the certificate needed to embody the vibrancy and diversity of the 81 majors offered while staying true to the university's branding. Beyond being a symbol of academic success, the design had to be clean, elegant, and free of clichés, serving as a meaningful representation of the dynamic energy that the College of the Arts brings to campus life.

As the project manager and lead designer, I guided a team of five in developing concepts, ensuring equal representation of all four sub-colleges and effective collaboration among team members. Drawing inspiration from the diversity of the 81 majors, we used geometric and abstract forms to avoid favoring any particular discipline while evoking the vibrancy and movement of the arts. Together, we created 14 unique designs, with my design ultimately selected for the commencement ceremony. This honor held special significance to me, as I also graduated that semester, making the final product a deeply personal and proud accomplishment.
